What to See & Do in Santa Fe

There are so many things to see and do in Santa Fe, we couldn’t possibly list them all! Here are a few suggestions:

Spy vs. Spy in Santa Fe--A Hotbed of Espionage, Sunday, September 18, 3:30 p.m.
Join Bruce Held, retired CIA clandestine operations officer, Chief of Counterintelligence at Sandia National Laboratories and author of "A Spy's Guide to Santa Fe and Albuquerque" (UNM Press, 2011) for an intriguing history lesson and a walking tour to sites on and near the Santa Fe Plaza, including the hideout of Trotsky's assassin and the bridge where atomic spy Klaus Fuchs passed along detailed designs of America's bombs to the KGB.  Tour participants will meet in the Stiha Room of the Hotel LaFonda.  This free event is a specially arranged preconference activity for our conference attendees, family, and friends.  Keep this event in mind when you're booking your flights!

Enchanted Evening in New Mexico, Tuesday, September 20, 4 p.m. On Tuesday, join us for a walking tour of Pueblo de San Ildefonso, established 400 years ago along the Rio Grande. The Pueblo is home to the sacred Black Mesa. The Pueblo Museum features the work of famous potter Maria Martinez, whose influence is still strong, and the work of other Pueblo artists—including paintings, weavings, embroidery, and a depiction of the pottery-making process. Then enjoy tableside guacamole and other foods of the Southwest and Old Mexico at Gabriel’s, one of Santa Fe’s finest restaurants, with an excellent art collection, located near the Tesuque Pueblo.

Santa Fe Convention and Visitors Center   As a world-renowned travel destination unparalleled in richness of history, heritage, arts and culture, you'll be nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the foothills of the Rockies, immersed in natural beauty, with an average of 325 days of sunshine and blue sky. Come and prepare for your perfect day in Santa Fe.  http://santafe.org/
